The article Solutions to Nerve Conduction Study and EMG Coding Challenges in the May 2001 Physical Medicine Coding Alert contained an error. If a physiatrist performs both motor and sensory studies on two nerves of a patients left hand/wrist, and he repeats the studies on two nerves of the patients right hand/wrist, the coding should be as follows:
