Don't Miss Opportunities to Report Additional Services With 33880-33891

You may report the new codes for endovascular repair of the descending thoracic aorta, 33880-33891, along with the following, according to CPT guidelines :

• Any open arterial exposure and closure of the arteriotomy sites (such as 34812, 34820, 34833, 34834)

• Introduction of guidewires and catheters (such as 36140 and 36200)

• Extensive repair or replacement of an artery (such as 35226 and 35286)

• Intravascular ultrasound (37250-37251) performed in the aorta or other vessels

• Other interventional procedures (such as innominate, carotid, subclavian, visceral, or iliac artery transluminal angioplasty or stenting, arterial embolization) for interventions performed outside of the target graft treatment zone.
