Indiana Subscriber
Answer: Use 50400 (Pyeloplasty [Foley Y-pyeloplasty], plastic operation on renal pelvis, with or without plastic operation on ureter, nephropexy, nephrostomy, pyelostomy, or ureteral splinting; simple) for the pyeloplasty. Whether the incision is dorsal, flank, or transabdominal lumbotomy, it does not affect the code in this type of surgery.
