Reader Question:

No Void = No Code

Question: If a patient is scheduled for a uroflow but cannot void for the flow study, can this procedure be billed?

Answer: If you are prepared to do a urodynamic study, and the patient cannot void for the flow rate, you should not bill for the uroflow. In such cases, suggest that the patient return for the study with a full bladder on another day.
