ER Procedure Note - Possible foreign body removal left foot - 11 blade scalpel was used to make a core around the area of maximal tenderness this was explored, no foreign body found.
Since they made an incision but no FB was removed, can I code this as a incisional foreign body removal?

Maybe 52 modifier? Intent was to remove something and they made an incision, however no FB found? Was there any cellulitis or anything else going on with it where you could maybe report a debridement code?

Nothing else was going on at all. I thought about adding a modifier as well, but I just wasn't sure.
