Keep the CPT® 2018 Changes, Revisions, and Additions for Cardiology at Your Fingertips

New total replacement heart system codes 33927, 33928, and +33929 to replace Cat III codes.

You know you've got a slew ofcomponent codes for endovascular repair/prosthesis of aortic or iliac aneurysm or dissection (34800 through +34806, 34825-34826, and 34900) to delete next year. Remember, "CPT® 2017 explained that these were 'component' codes, meaning that you would additionally report distinct codes for other services at the same session, such as fluoroscopic guidance," explains Terri Brame Joy, MBA, CPC, COC, CGSC, CPC-I, director of operations with Encounter Telehealth in Omaha, Nebraska.

But that all gets wiped out as of January 1. Before you're confused by what's new and revised, take a look at the following chart to find all the codes you need to protect your cardiology claims.
