Hundreds Of Providers Test 5010 Format

Providers that aren't testing their 5010 transactions may be falling behind. Back in June on the first 5010 testing day, 349 Medicare fee-forservice trading partners conducted testing using the new format, CMS says. They submitted 974 files. CMS and its contractors are currently conducting National 5010 Testing Week from Aug. 22 to Aug. 26. The 5010 format will be required starting Jan. 1, 2012.
