Put another item on your regulatory to do list for 2011

Put another item on your regulatory todo list for 2011 -- implementation of the new home health advance beneficiary notice. CMS finally has released the notice and fixed access problems. HHAs can start using the new form immediately, but don't have to use it until the April 1 deadline, CMS notes on its website at www.cms.gov/BNI/03_HHABN.asp. CMS officials had been saying all year that although the Office of Management and Budget had approved the new form, CMS wouldn't issue it until accompanying manual instructions also were ready. CMS has posted both the form and instructions on its site.
