Hospice Compare Refresh Data Cemented

Hospice Compare's next data refresh will be in February, but the data for supporting that update is already set in stone. "The freeze date for the Hospice Item Set (HIS) data that will be included in quality measure calculations for the February 2018 Hospice Compare refresh is November 15, 2017," the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services says in a message to hospices. The February refresh will include HIS data from the second quarter of 2016 to the first quarter of 2017 - April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017.
