Hospices Plan Inpatient Facilities

Hospice facilities continue to open across the nation.

In Ohio: Aultman Alliance Community Hospital is readying its Alliance Compassionate Care Center hospice facility on the hospital campus, reports The Canton Repository newspaper. The facility has four beds.

In Louisiana: Hospice of Acadiana plans to break ground on its 10-bed inpatient hospice house this summer, the Daily Advertiser newspaper reports. The nonprofit expects to see about 650 patients per year in the Calcutta House by Hospice of Acadiana. Fundraising for the project is ongoing.

In Colorado: Nonprofit hospice provider Pathways plans to build a 12-patient inpatient hospice facility on its Ft. Collins, Colorado, campus, it says in a release. Inpatient care will transition over from the hospice’s current space at McKee Medical Center in Loveland. Pathways is raising $8 million to fund the project, it says.
