Want to give Medicare your two cents about the physician’s role in hospice care? Now’s your chance — until July 21. The HHH Medicare Administrative Contractors and National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization are collaborating to “explore concerns from the hospice community regarding the attending physician’s role and the hospice benefit,” the MACs say in an email to providers. “During our conversations the team has identified two areas of concern that warrant further information from the hospice community.” Results from the 10-question, anonymous survey should “help us better understand issues with the attending hospice physician and the current regulations,” the MACs say. The survey, which focuses on the physician’s role for patients in inpatient facilities, is at www.surveymonkey.com/r/H3KLXBN.
