Question: The patient had a dilation and evacuation (D&E) for an anencephalic fetus at 14 weeks. The condition was desired termination secondary to maternal indication of right ovarian thrombosis currently on anticoagulation. Which diagnosis codes apply for the D&E?

Add 655.00 (central nervous system malformation in fetus; unspecified as to episode of care or not applicable) to cover the fetal problem.
