Bill Out Clinic Set Up Using Two Locations

Question: Our otolaryngologist has partnered up with another physician in an out clinic set up. I'm trying to find out how we can bill with this arrangement. My initial thought was I could add the other physician's location to our files with carriers, and bill out under our tax ID with that office as the location. Can this be done?Illinois SubscriberAnswer: You would bill under your tax ID with your office address going in Box 33 and the other office's address in Box 32 of your claim form as the place the service was provided. But first, make sure you add the other office as a service facility with your major insurance companies. Providers going to out clinics and different facilities are commonplace.
