This is a Proprietary Laboratory Analyses (PLA) code, meaning that the code describes only one unique lab test made by a specific manufacturer or performed by a specific lab. Code 0288U describes DetermaRx™ from Oncocyte Corporation. Using a non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) formalin–fixed paraffin–embedded (FFPE) tissue specimen, the test examines messenger RNA (mRNA) gene expression of the 11 genes listed in the code descriptor using polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The test includes an algorithmic analysis of findings to report a recurrence risk score for NSCLC.
