This is a Proprietary Laboratory Analyses (PLA) code, meaning that the code applies to only one unique lab test made by a specific manufacturer or performed by a specific lab. Report 0398U for ESOPREDICT® Barrett’s Esophagus Risk Classifier Assay from Capsulomics Inc. d/b/a Previse. Using esophageal cells obtained from a formalin–fixed paraffin–embedded (FFPE) biopsy specimen, the test evaluates methylation status of the genes listed in the code. With an algorithmic analysis of those findings, the results are reported as a risk score for progression to high–grade dysplasia or esophageal cancer.
