The provider performs imaging of an extracranial cerebral blood vessel using optical coherence tomography (OCT). This imaging technique uses light waves to produce detailed images of the vessel’s structure, helping the provider diagnose or guide treatment. The procedure includes radiological supervision, interpretation, and reporting. This add–on code applies to each additional extracranial vessel imaged after the first one.
