The provider places a graft to enlarge the ventricular outflow tract. If necessary, he incises the junctions of the valve leaflets or removes thickened muscular tissue from the infundibulum. This procedure relieves obstruction of the ventricular outflow tract. Indications for this procedure include pulmonary atresia.
