At the same session as an initial tibial or peroneal revascularization service, the provider performs revascularization with both stent placement and atherectomy (removal of plaque), and may also perform angioplasty, in a complex lesion (occlusion, or complete blockage) of an additional vessel in the tibial and peroneal vascular territory. This territory includes the anterior tibial, posterior tibial, and peroneal arteries. The service includes all access, catheterization, lesion crossing, and imaging guidance needed to complete the procedure. The approach may be open or percutaneous.
