Summary
At the same session as an initial inframalleolar revascularization service, the provider performs angioplasty (balloon expansion of a narrowed area) for a straightforward lesion (stenosis) in an additional vessel of the inframalleolar vascular territory. This territory includes the dorsalis pedis and plantar arteries. The service includes all access, catheterization, lesion crossing, and imaging guidance needed to complete the procedure. The approach may be open or percutaneous.
