Summary

In this procedure, the provider makes incisions along the affected vein and accesses the targeted perforator vein, a vein which connects the superficial vein to the deep veins. The provider incises through the fascia, excises the nearby diseased structures, and ligates the perforator vein, to treat varicose veins in one leg. The provider may also place a skin graft at the excision site to cover the wound.
