The provider examines the kidneys, renal pelvis and ureters by incising the ureter, and passing an endoscope through it to view the structures. The procedure includes a biopsy of a lesion or tissues and may include using different techniques to visualize the procedure. The procedure also includes fulguration, or high–frequency heat, or incision to destroy tissue.
