The provider performs a single stage surgical procedure to correct hypospadias with a meatal advancement or V flap. Providers commonly use this technique to treat glanular hypospadias where the meatus is mobile, which can be pushed to the tip of the glans comfortably. He may perform a circumcision during this procedure and or correction of an abnormal curvature of the penis known as chordee.
