Summary

The provider performs ablation of one or more prostate tumors using irreversible electroporation (IRE). This minimally invasive procedure involves inserting a probe through the skin (percutaneous approach) into the prostate. The probe delivers very short but strong electrical pulses that permanently damage the tumor cell membranes, causing the cells to die without using heat or freezing. Imaging guidance is included in this service.
