In this procedure, the provider determines that the fetus has died in utero, or in the uterus before birth and the gestational age is from fourteen weeks, zero days to less than twenty eight weeks and zero days. The provider surgically removes the fetus and all of the products of conception. The provider performs this procedure via a vaginal approach.
