Summary

The provider accesses the anterior cranial fossa using a bicoronal (both coronal sutures), transzygomatic or Le Fort I osteotomy approach to expose a lesion or defect at the base of the skull. Closure of the approach can require internal fixation. This procedure does not include a bone graft. The selection of a particular approach depends on the location and size of the lesion.
