The provider delivers level 1 radiation treatment. This may involve a single–electron field, multiple–electron fields, or single–isocenter two–dimensional (2D) photon therapy. In 2D photon therapy, uniform radiation beam intensities are delivered using treatment setup based on surface anatomic landmarks or bony landmarks, with kilovoltage (kV) or megavoltage (MeV) imaging when needed. The service includes imaging guidance, when performed, to assist with treatment setup and targeting.
