The lab analyst performs the technical lab test to compare STR markers from a post–transplant specimen, such as bone marrow, with the initial donor specimen tested in 81265 to discern if the transplant has been successful, called chimerism or engraftment, or to determine if disease has reoccurred, with testing for lineage–specific cell subsets such as CD–3 positive T–cells.
