The provider uses thin, solid, metallic, fine, single–use needles to pierce the skin and stimulate anatomical points on or in the skin by manipulating the needles by hand. This code is for each additional 15 minutes of manual treatment, after an initial treatment, and includes re–insertion of needles. This therapeutic intervention provides relief or prevention of pain, treatment of post–operative and chemotherapy nausea and vomiting, stroke rehabilitation, and treatment of asthma, addiction, and various other health conditions.
