Wiki Posterior Tibial Tendon Tenotomy

The physician performed Open Posterior Tibial Tenotomy to release Varus deformity, along with Ankle Arthrodesis.

In the report, he does not mention tendon lengthening or suturing the tendon ends together after the tenotomy is performed, so I don't believe 27685 would work for this procedure.

I am wondering if 28230 would be appropriate since the posterior tibial tendon insertion is between the navicular and cuneiform bones of the foot. Or, is this procedure considered inclusive to the Ankle Arthrodesis and not separately billable?

Any input would be appreciated.

I would code 28230.
Tendon work is not included in ankle arthrodesis per GSD and this was a tenotomy not a lengthening.
