I am trying to find a code for decompression of 1st branch of lateral plantar nerve. I seem to be lead to 64708 but not confident that is correct.

64708 is for Neuroplasty (Exploration, Neurolysis, or Nerve Decompression) of a "major peripheral nerve," which would not apply to the Lateral Plantar Nerve or its branches. 64722: Decompression, unspecified nerve (specified as the 1st branch of the Lateral Plantar Nerve) would be more correct.

Respectfully submitted, Alan Pechacek, M.D.

can you clear my confusion too, this code seems to be representing the unspecified nerves, if decompression was carried down on medial plantar nerve, should not we be reporting 64704 ?
