We billed 97811+97810 (acupuncture codes) and 20561 (dry needling) for low back pain to medicare but medicare didn't pay for the acupuncuture codes and paid only for 20561. Is there a way we can get medicare to pay both for the acupuncture codes and 20561 or is there a different way to bill these?

Hi, there is not. The National Correct Coding Initiative has a "hard" edit that bundles the acupuncture codes into the dry needling codes, so you can only bill the dry needling if the provider performs both together. If your office doesn't have software or a coding tool such as SelectCoder that let's you check NCCI edits, your MAC will have a tool.
