Hello,
CGS Administrators, Palmetto GBA, Wellpoint Federal and WPS GHA have released a uniform LCD that covers peripheral nerve procedures for chronic pain management. The new LCD will go into effect Oct. 25. It does not apply to regional anesthesia, post-op pain management, cancer pain and a few other conditions. It does apply to a wide range of services to treat chronic pain, not just 64450 and 64640.

Noridian also took part in the development of the LCD but it hasn't released a final version. First Coast Service Options and Novitas did not take part in the creation of this policy.
