    Hi Jenny,

    I was reading your very old post about Maloney dilation and would love to get your insight on this situation.

    My provider does an EGD biopsy, stepwise Balloon Dilation to 20mm and Maloney 56Fr.

    How would you codes these.

    If the physicians are in the same group/same specialty, you would report under the physician providing 99291. The IOM says: Physicians of the same specialty within the same group practice bill and are paid as though they were a single physician (§30.6.5).

    Additionally, 99292 can only be billed with 99291, so it could not be reported alone.

    Thanks for the website. If critical care time is 80 minutes can you bill one doctor 99921 and the other 99292? Thanks again Cathy
