    Wiki Gastritis/Metaplasia

    I just began coding GI recently and I am regularly seeing EGD path reports with a diagnosis of "chronic gastritis with intestinal metaplasia." Would it be correct to use codes K29.50 + K31.A0 together for this? I am currently training with a coworker on GI procedures and I used those two codes...

    What is the proper way to code H Pylori gastritis...and which is used 1st...we have been using B96.81, K29.70 or should we use A04.8? Pathology coder coding from report. Thanks
