    I received a Medicare claim rejection for CPT code 78816-PIPO (PET/CT whole body) citing inconsistent modifier or required modifier is missing.     AUC billing order of modifiers on PET scans

    PET scans require PI/PS modifier. With the AUC program, does anyone know whether the order of the M modifiers (ME/MF/etc) and other modifiers (PI/PS) matter? Should the PI/PS go first and ME modifier secondary? Or vice versa?
