Florida Blue Shield is denying my OB claims that cross midnight 01967 to 01968. I was told by my provider rep that our company is the only company to have this problem (HUH??). Anyway...anyone can shed light on if I am doing something wrong? I have the DOS of the 01967 (11/21/14 and DOS for 01968 11/22/14) and the rejection is that they are missing the parent code (01967) and therefore denying. Well of course it is missing...it is on the prior DOS. Should I bill both codes DOS as 11/21/14? Any thoughts would be appreciated. This began last November and we have not changed anything. We were told we just have to appeal each and every claim.
Thanks

An example is

10/25/14 01967 (Vag) 22:41 to 13:54
10/26/14 01968 (C-section) 13:54 to 15:05

We are getting a N122 rejection "ADD ON CODE CANNOT BE BILLED BY ITSELF".

This was not a problem until Nov 2013 when Blue Shield began rejecting. We have always billed them this way. I appreciate any help!

I would enter both with the date of 10/26/14. Yes, the epidural was started on the 25th but baby was born on the 26th and I typically use the date of birth for these. Please advise if this is incorrect. I have not had any reject.
Hope that helps.
