Im a CPC-A I just got back from a interview from a ER coding company for a Medical Coder Position. I answered all the ER questions well so i know what im doing. My Question is does every ER billing/coding compnay require to be very quick on 10 key? i wasnt fast enough for them but i can be accurate on each code.

Need some opinions

I am an ER coder. I have to do all my charge entry myself whereas the other coders do not so being fast and proficient at 10 key is important. You will pick up speed as you do it more regularly so hopefully they will consider that. Best of luck!;)

thank you that was helpful. I just practiced my 10-key. I was fast just now lol. But i know for sure i can be quick i just need to do it everyday and i can get the routine down
