I was at the Inga Ellzey conference in Orlando and she stated for Shave Removals that are malignant to use the 17260 codes. I do have a question however. What if the margins are positive and require excision or MOHS. My Physician frequently does shave removals but only codes them as 11100. I feel we are missing out on income, but however don't want to be coding the 17260 codes incorrectly. Thanks!
