Can someone help me with this:
How do you code for Medicare – post op cast and splint?
My doctor did a surgery and they are not paying us for placement of a splint (CPT 29125) - post op. Does this code require a modifier?

thanks

Yes. Medicare requires a modifier 58 on post op applications. Otherwise, they assume it is the first app. And don't forget to include your Q code for the supplies! (Q4001-Q4051)
