Are there any guidelines for multiple assistant surgeons at same procedure? One of our general surgeons has been charging for 2 assistants on certain procedure, however the insurance company often denies these as duplicates.
 
In the past I'v only gotten paid for one, so if it's a surgeon assist and arnp assist I always picked the surgeon for the higher reimbursement.
