The coders in the office are discussing 2-d vs 3-d. We have a charge for a CT and in the technique portion of exam it states "two dimensional sagittal and coronal reformations were created." A couple of coders belives that you should be able to bill a 3-d because there is no code for 2-d reconstruction and the rest of us say you cannot bill for the 2-D because there is no code. So does anyone know where we can get documentation to show that 2-D cannot be billed as 3-D?
