I had a patient do 2 different surgeries. Dr A opened the patient and did his thing, then my Dr, Dr B went in and did her surgery. Then Dr A came back and closed the patient. Both doctors are doing post op care. Should doc B use a modifier?
 
Depending on how extensive the surgery itself is, you might consider that not opening and not closing the patient is resulting in reduced work and -52 MIGHT be a consideration. If it was a 6 hour intensive surgery, then maybe not. If it was a typical 1 hour procedure that only took 25 minutes due to what Dr. A did, then -52 seems more appropriate.
