Wiki 2 distinct colon resections in the same operative session

I have a provider who did an ileocecetomy and rectosigmoid resection in the same operative session. He is wanting to bill 44207 and 44205 at the same time. I informed him these codes are bundled and suggested billing 44207 with mod 22, however I am getting push back. I just want to make sure there isn't another way to code this. Have any of you come across this? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You are correct in stating that 44207 and 44205 can't be billed together. I wouldn't use the modifier 22 either. The procedures according to my desk reference are similar until a certain point in the procedure. 44207 is more work than the 44205. I would just code the 44207.
