I need help. I am trying to bill this claim for a patient who had one of our cardiologist perform the heart cath, and the other one performed the intervention, but the primary procedure required for the intervention claim is billed on the other cardiologist claim. Is billing the 2 even possible???

You would need to see if the codes allow co-surgery or not but that may not work (62 mod) if the providers are the same specialty. Then you would need to also check if they allow assistant-at-surgery (80 mod). In some cases where if they are in the same practice they could split this on the back accounting end and one surgeon submit as primary. Or they could do the assistant route.
