In recent deliveries we have been called to, there has been another physician, maybe a hospitalist, who has also been present. According to my physician it is a recommendation by the AAP that in certain cases, depending on the baby, that two physicians are present at the time of the delivery. I have not heard of this and I am sure that both physicians cannot bill at the same time, but my provider asked me to pose the question. So, if anyone has any experience dealing with this or any feedback, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time! :)
