Hello,

I'm looking for supportive documentation on the following subject:

In looking in the MAR of when the RN charted the chemo meds, they also pushed two non-chemo drugs at the same exact time, for example: diphenhydramine and decadron are both listed as IV - given at 9:06am. Since there's no stop time listed they have to be coded as a push, even if either of them would have ran over 15 minutes.

Can both drugs be billed when 'pushed' at the same exact time? If not, where can I find supportive documentation for that? I know that generally an infusion would be the initial and then a concurrent, but what about pushes/injections that are < 16 minutes?

I've searched all over and can't seem to find any info on this.
