patient had appt in am for follow up care and the fell and injured his arm in the afternoon and had to return to the office for another visit. Can we bill for two e/m and which modifier.
 
Does anyone out there remember where the "rule" is located on billing only one E/M per day for same provider???? I have a situation where the patient presented for Consultation with three separate injuries. I need to show, in writing, that only one E/M can be billed not three....
