Hello, I have a procedure for a Venting peg tube placement:
A gastroscope was passed trans orally into the stomach a spot was chosen and marked.
A small skin incision was made and a catheter was passed through incision into the lumen of the stomach.
A wire was passed through the plastic cannula was grasped with a snare and pulled out through the mouth.
this was then attached to the PEG tube.
The PEG tube was pulled through the mouth down the esophagus and out through the stomach.
the PEG tube was hooked to a foley bag for gravity drainage.
Is this just not a PEG placement.
