I need help coding fetal demise delivery. The baby tried to delivery vaginally but was lodged in the pelvis. Was then taken to the OR for D&C, but when anesthesia was administered the doctor was able to delivery the baby vaginally. After, a D&C was performed for retained placenta.:confused:
 
21 week delivery

I am having a similar situation. Premature delivery at 21 weeks. Provider and I discussed how to bill it and now the carrier is not paying, indicating it is not covered.
This was a spontaneous vaginal delivery and we billed it as such. Hopefully others have billed similar situations and can advise
