Hi Group,
I have found discrepancies in the study guide for Medicare coding. The book states not to use physical status modifiers for Medicare patients, which is correct.
However, on the practice test in the study guide question #18 is using the P3 mod for a Medicare pt and the Rationale states "the physical status modifier is not usually reported for Medicare patients. For exam purposes, report the physical status modifier for all cases.
Did anyone take this test this year notice these discrepancies on it?
